Cloud computing means no worries…right?

Contrary to what you might have heard from Google and elsewhere, cloud-based computing is not 100 percent pure fluffy goodness. While backing up to the cloud is often something we advocate, running hosted business software based in the cloud (e.g., on remote Internet servers)— rather than on your in-house server— may or may not be a good thing to do for your business.

Besides backing up to the cloud, we sometimes advise company owners to use hosted software services such as Hosted Exchange, Office 365, or Google Apps. But it’s not a black-and-white decision. It’s more gray. Like a cloud.

Cloud computing vs. in-house server

JUSTEK can shine some light on the fundamental issues of cloud computing vs. in-house server for small businesses, helping you and your staff understand the pros and cons of both. We analyze each business on a case-by-case basis, and make recommendations tailored to your business. So that you’re not living under a cloud of confusion.
